CMD COLLABORATES WITH MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY ON RESEARCH
As part of the current effort aimed at placing the Centre for Management Development (CMD) on the global map, the Director-General, Dr. Kabir Kabo Usman has this time chatted a new international course for the Centre through his robust engagement with the Manchester University, United Kingdom on collaborative research on human capital development.
This partnership was initiated during the Director-General’s invitation to an international conference on “Implications of Chinese Economic Engagement in Africa,” held at Theatre 2, Crawford House, University of Manchester, between 7th and 9th June, 2016.
In his paper, titled “Challenges of Human Capital Development in Africa”, Dr. Kabir Kabo Usman, reputed for his world class erudition and sagacity, coupled with his grasp of the current challenges in the human capital development sector, dwelt extensively on the factors militating against human capital development. He proffered solutions to the menace and wooed the international community to partner with human capital research institutions such as the CMD to address this matter for the development of the African continent in general and Nigeria in particular.
The Director-General’s paper elicited series of reactions from participants which led to an agreement on a collaborative research between the CMD and the Manchester University.
